Bangkok: three parks, three moods

Bangkok’s parks work best when they give the day room to breathe. Chatuchak and Queen Sirikit are neighbouring options in the north, but they have distinct entrances, characters and closing times. Saranrom belongs to an Old Town day.

These are three choices, not a route that needs completing. Prefer the cooler part of the day and check local conditions. Each place below keeps its own practical information, including which park rules apply.

01.

Chatuchak Park

The straightforward choice when arriving around Mo Chit or Chatuchak Park stations.

Choose this for a botanical emphasis and a slower look at the planting.

03.

Saranrom Park

The Old Town choice: look for the fountain and pavilions as well as the trees.
