A place worth knowing

Give the reserve enough time to feel different from the streets outside. Walk a little, stop when something moves in the reeds, and choose your turning point before the closing hour makes the decision for you.

Entry is free. The city’s seasonal schedule is Tuesday–Sunday 08:00–18:00 from April to October and 08:00–19:00 from November to March. Mondays are closed. Rain, strong wind and other weather conditions can close access, so check the reserve’s current notices.

The south entrance is on Avenida Tristán Achával Rodríguez. Seasonal rules are explained here instead of being flattened into one permanent weekly timetable. The photograph was taken from a reserve walkway in June 2025.
