A place worth knowing
Begin with the building’s scale, then narrow your attention. A handful of works can make a satisfying visit without a floor-by-floor march. The riverside setting gives you an easy change of pace after the galleries.
Collection entry is free. Temporary exhibitions have their own tickets, while eligible visitors may have concessions. Friday and Saturday opening extends into the evening. The gallery closes from 24 to 26 December. Tate is cashless, and bags larger than cabin size are not permitted. The exterior photograph dates from January 2024.
