A place worth knowing
Try following a material through the galleries: glass, cloth, metal or clay. A museum full of objects becomes easier to navigate when you give yourself a small question to carry around it.
General entry needs no booking. Galleries begin clearing 30 minutes before closing, and some do not open late on Fridays. On 25–26 September 2026, industrial action means a reduced visitor offer: the museum confirms Schiaparelli, the café and some ground-floor galleries will open. Check the official notice before making a special journey. The cover shows the building in May 2026.
