Let a single gallery set the pace. The Grand Avenue building brings contemporary art into a compact part of Downtown, with enough nearby choices to keep the rest of the day flexible. A second museum can wait until another visit.
General admission is free and advance reservations are recommended. This is MOCA Grand Avenue at 250 South Grand Avenue; The Geffen Contemporary is a different location with its own programme and access notices. Check the exhibitions for your date. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve close at 15:00 in 2026. The cover is an exterior photograph from 2016.
