A place worth knowing
Start with one gallery rather than trying to conquer the whole station. Orsay rewards a slower look, then a walk back along the Seine. Thursday’s late opening gives the visit a different rhythm.
Standard adult admission is €16 online or €14 on site; eligibility-based discounts and free entry also apply. Reserve a time and check the museum’s current entrance arrangements during renovation work. Galleries begin closing before the building does. The photograph shows the exterior in April 2014.
