Browsing, search and saved places

Vercel hosts the website and Supabase provides its database and editorial authentication. They process network information such as IP addresses, requested URLs and technical logs to deliver and protect the service. Search terms are sent to the application and its database to return results. These functions support our legitimate interest in running a reliable discovery service. Editorial sign-in uses authentication cookies.

Saved recommendations stay in this browser’s local storage until you remove them or clear site data. They are not a cloud account. We do not request device location for ordinary browsing.

At the main entrance, approximate location supplied by our hosting provider helps choose a city. At city entrances, your browser’s language preferences select an available translation, with English as the fallback. Explicit city and language choices are remembered separately in functional cookies for up to six months and take priority over automatic selection. We do not request device location or store IP addresses in an edition profile. Language-specific and content links keep their intended destination.

Optional audience measurement

Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It uses browser identifiers and device information to measure page visits, campaign referrals and actions such as opening a booking link, saving a place, sharing or creating an itinerary. We do not send search terms, contact details or precise device coordinates in these events. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled for Analytics. Allowing analytics does not grant permission for advertising.

Your consent is the legal basis for optional analytics. Allowing or refusing is remembered for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are set for up to 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit. Use “Privacy choices” to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal stops future collection and removes this site’s accessible Analytics cookies; it does not reverse processing that happened with consent. You can still use the website when you refuse.

Google Analytics user and event data retention is set to two months, without resetting the retention period on a new visit. This setting does not limit Google’s standard aggregated reports.

Advertising

Display advertising is currently disabled. No AdSense advertising script is loaded.

Maps and other services

The itinerary street map requests tiles from OpenStreetMap when the map comes into view. The tile service receives standard network information, including your IP address. The optional Google map connects to Google only when you choose to load it. City, mood and date selections can appear in the itinerary URL and ordinary hosting logs.

Official websites, booking services and social networks have their own privacy practices when you follow a link. Booking is handled by the destination service. A tracked booking click, when you allow analytics, records interest in that link, not a completed purchase.

Providers and retention

Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under their applicable data-processing and transfer arrangements. Their privacy and processing information is available from Vercel, Supabase, Google and OpenStreetMap. Operational logs follow the providers’ service retention periods. If you contact us, we retain the correspondence as needed to handle your request and applicable legal obligations.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the data and legal basis, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact arthur@poproam.com to make a request. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority or Estonia’s Data Protection Inspectorate. We do not use personal data for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
