From close looking at craft to DDP’s curves and two contrasting SeMA buildings. Four cultural choices, with clear distinctions between an exhibition visit and an architecture walk.

A stitch, a surface, a curve in a building: this Seoul selection starts with the decisions that shape things. It moves from the detail of craft to large-scale design, then to art in two very different museum settings. Choose according to what you want to notice, not how many places you can fit into a day.
Seoul Museum of Craft Art is the close-looking choice around Anguk. DDP offers an architecture walk and a programme of indoor exhibitions, which are separate experiences. The Seosomun branch of Seoul Museum of Art makes a museum visit near Deoksugung possible, while Nam-Seoul is a distinct destination in a former consular residence south of the river.
Keep Nam-Seoul as a separate outing if you want a relaxed afternoon. For a central-city plan, choose two of the other places and use public transport between districts. Even where buildings appear close on a city map, there is value in leaving space for a meal and the streets around them.
An open plaza does not mean all exhibition halls are open, and free general admission can coexist with separately charged shows. Children’s activities, special programmes and evening access may require their own reservations. Check the institution and branch before leaving, then follow the practical record attached to each place. The selection helps you choose a setting; the current programme decides what you will see there.
Seoul Museum of Craft Art
Start with a material or technique and follow it through the displays. This is the choice for detail rather than a fast overview of Seoul. Check the children’s museum separately if visiting as a family, and do not assume every floor shares special evening hours.
Dongdaemun Design Plaza
Walk around the exterior for its changing curves and viewpoints, then choose an indoor exhibition only if the programme interests you. The public-space visit is distinct from ticketed shows. An illuminated building is not evidence that a festival or performance is happening tonight.
Seoul Museum of Art, Seosomun
Make the Seosomun branch the art stop near Deoksugung. Choose from the exhibitions on the museum’s own calendar and give the building and approach some attention. General entry and special exhibitions can have different conditions.
Nam-Seoul Museum of Art
Choose the former consular residence for art at a more domestic architectural scale. It is a different branch and a separate journey from Seosomun. Check the current exhibition before setting out, particularly around installation periods and public holidays.
