A place worth knowing
Choose a period, a material or a room before you begin. A focused visit leaves time to pause in the grounds instead of rushing through centuries in one afternoon.
The permanent collection is free; special exhibitions may need a separate paid ticket. The museum currently lists 09:30 to 17:30, with Wednesday and Saturday evenings until 21:00. It closes on New Year’s Day, Seollal day and Chuseok day, plus the first Monday of March, June, September and December under its maintenance schedule. It is closed on 25 September 2026. Check notices for exceptions.
