A place worth knowing
Look closely at materials and workmanship, from carved objects to textiles, rather than rushing through for the building alone. The museum also describes workshop spaces where craft processes can be encountered. Standard adult admission is ¥8. The day is split by a lunch closure: 09:00–11:30 and 13:00–16:30, with last entry half an hour before each closing; Mondays are closed. Check holiday exceptions before travelling.
