Why make time for it

Start with a face, then follow the details outward: a pose, an object, the way a painter makes someone present. The exhibition brings paintings, sculpture and other works from the Louvre together around Renaissance ideas.

The standard adult ticket is ¥2,400. Admission is separate from the free art-center building. Friday and Saturday sessions run until 20:00; last entry is 30 minutes before closing. The published calendar opens on 22 September, 3 November and 8 December despite the usual Tuesday closure, and closes on 4 November.

A timed-reservation system is announced for 7–13 December; the museum will publish its details separately. Do not assume a general ticket covers that final week. The cover shows the building, not this exhibition's installation.
