A place worth knowing
Come for a particular exhibition, or let the building be a short architectural pause in the day. Its changing programme means the useful question is what is on, rather than which permanent collection to see.
Entry to the building is free. Exhibition tickets are separate, including the Louvre show in our current selection. Regular special-exhibition hours are 10:00–18:00, extended to 20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, but each show publishes its own calendar. Tuesdays are normally closed; holiday and exhibition exceptions matter. Check the exhibition record before making a plan around a late opening.
