A place worth knowing
Leave the shopping streets for an afternoon of close looking. Pair the galleries with the garden rather than treating one as a shortcut to the other. The changing exhibitions are a reason to check the programme before choosing your date.
During exhibitions, regular hours are 10:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:30. Mondays normally close, with holiday exceptions. The garden, café and shop all require museum admission. Fees vary by exhibition and ticket channel.
The published autumn calendar opens on 21 September, 12 October and 23 November 2026. It closes on 24 September and between exhibitions from 13 to 23 October. Check the official programme for later dates. The cover shows the entrance in 2014.
