Take one path, find a place to pause, and resist the urge to cover every corner. This is a useful counterweight to a day of stations and busy streets.
Standard adult admission is ¥500. Opening is 09:00–18:00 from 15 March to 30 September, except 11 June–31 July when it closes at 19:00. From 1 October to 14 March it closes at 16:30. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing.
Mondays are normally closed, moving to the next weekday when Monday is a holiday. The garden opens daily during 25 March–24 April and 1–15 November. It closes 29 December–3 January. Cherry-blossom-season reservations may be required; check that year's arrangements. Alcohol and sports equipment are not allowed. The photograph shows the lawn in August 2024, not today's foliage.
