A place worth knowing
Build the visit around a few things you want to understand, then leave space for whatever catches your attention. The core galleries are free and individual visitors do not need a reservation for them. IMAX requires a timed ticket; groups of twenty or more must arrange a reservation.
One important planning detail: Space Shuttle Endeavour is currently off display until the future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center opens. Do not plan a trip on the assumption that you can see the shuttle now. Parking and additional ticketed experiences are separate costs. The cover is an archival exterior photograph.
