Shanghai tickets: which part of the visit is free?
A free promenade, a museum collection and a garden ticket are different plans. Match the admission rule to the experience you want.

Start by naming the part of the visit you want. Walking the Bund is not the same purchase as a river cruise. Browsing the Yuyuan area is not a daytime ticket to Yu Garden, and that garden ticket is not an evening-event pass.
Museums need the same care. Shanghai Museum East offers free collection entry, while the People’s Square branch currently requires an Americas exhibition ticket. Rockbund lists free exhibition admission, with public visiting days and a separate members’ Tuesday. West Bund Museum sells exhibition tickets; check the show rather than assuming one pass opens every gallery.
