A place worth knowing
Let the walk have pauses. A short stretch of the High Line can be enough: stop beside the planting, look along a side street, or watch the city move beneath you. The park occupies a former elevated railway on Manhattan’s west side.
Ordinary entry is free. Hours change seasonally, and individual entrances or lifts can close temporarily; use the official visitor page and current park map before setting off. We have not treated a seasonal timetable as year-round opening hours. The historical photograph shows the park, not a promise of today’s planting or art programme.
