A place worth knowing
Choose an exhibition before arriving rather than treating every gallery as a checklist. The museum makes a useful counterpoint to the palace, and Anguk is close enough for a coffee before or after.
Seoul normally opens every day, with later hours on Wednesday and Saturday. Admission and reservations depend on the exhibition. The museum is closed on Chuseok day, 25 September 2026; its announced free-admission dates are 24, 26 and 27 September, when a ticket is still required. Check the exhibition page before booking.
